Dr. Mark Hausfeld, International Director, Global Initiative: Reaching Muslim Peoples

Dr. Mark Hausfeld currently serves as International Director of Global Initiatives: Reaching Islamic Peoples. He served in Pakistan and started Pakistan Teen Challenge. Subsequently, he served as area director of Central Eurasia. He was the 2007 J. Philip Hogan Professor of World Missions at AGTS, and taught here as an adjunct faculty member from 2002-2008. Co-author of Silk Road Stories, he frequently speaks at conferences around the world. Earlier in his ministry, Dr. Hausfeld was an associate pastor in Chicago and later planted Maranatha AG there. He also served on the Chicago Commission for Human Relations).

Power evangelism

The net you catch them with is the net you will keep them with. Jesus only ever delivered a "show and tell" gospel reliant on Spirit-empowered words and works. If you have ever felt the divine dissatisfaction of longing to reach out like Jesus but not experiencing the "greater works" He promised we would do, this session is for you! Jeremy Anderson has an effective ministry of walking out and empowering others in a supernatural lifestyle of evangelism expressed through the gifts of the Holy Spirit that is radically transforming college campuses in California. In this seminar Jeremy will give training and tools that work from the victories and valuable lessons in his 10 years of campus ministry. This seminar is designed to empower leaders through training and experience to reach out like heaven through the Spirit-empowered words and works of God.

Jeremy Anderson, Campus Missionary, Multi-Campuses

Jeremy and his wife Debora serve as the directors of Chi Alpha in Stanislaus and Merced counties.  They married each other in the summer of 2004 and immediately began ministry together at California State University, Stanislaus. Jeremy and Debora have since advanced of Christ’s kingdom to four total campuses now including Modesto Junior College, University of California, Merced, and Merced College. The dream of reaching and discipling the 48,000+ students on this unique blend of university and college campuses is experienced daily through a dynamic ministry of supernatural signs that captivate, and strategic follow-up that integrates students into a permanent change in their eternal address.

Spirit-filled life

Presentation and dialog concerning leadership dynamics in the midst of the active presence of God among His people. How do we nurture openess and yet maintain a commitment to truth? How do we engage in spiritual gift dynamics and yet maintain a “fitting and orderly” gathering?

Dave Argue, Church Development Consultant

Trained at Central Bible College, Wheaton College, and the University of Nebraska, he has walked through a great range of life experiences including widowhood, remarriage, father to five, Chi Alpha (part of the San Antonio Seven), church planting, pastoring, and coaching. David has held many District and National positions of leadership. He speaks widely and writes with frequency for publication. He and his wife Jackie also minister together in many settings.

University church planting

Presentation and discussion of how Chi Alpha, and specifically the XA Network, can practically use church planting as a viable means of furthering the vision and mission to transform the university, the marketplace, and the world; especially when considering the "X(A) Factor!"

Terry Broadwater, XA Network Director
Joel Hunter & Dave McNaughton, Church Multiplication Network Representatives

Terry Broadwater has been involved in church leadership for over twenty years as a Lead Pastor, church planter, consultant, and in a variety of district and national roles. Before transitioning into his role as Chi Alpha Network Director, Terry served has Lead Pastor of LifeHouse Church and the director of the LifeHouse Church Network in Hagerstown, MD. Because of his leadership and vision to "raise, resource, and release an emerging generation of church planters" the LHCN has planted over 40 churches nationally and internationally. He has also been a conference speaker and written a book entitled, "Leading a 21st Century New Testament Church."
