Lead Facilitator

Paul Austin

Paul and his wife Julie have been Chi Alpha Campus Missionaries since 1990. They began their ministry at Montana State University as associate staff, then in 1995 the Austin's moved to Pocatello, Idaho to pioneer Chi Alpha at Idaho State University(ISU). Idaho State is a unique campus in that approximately 70% of the 13,000 students are Mormon, which presented unique challenges in learning how to establish ministry on non-traditional campuses. Today, out of their ministry, 15 full time ministers and missionaries have been raised up and are now serving in traditional ministry. Not to mention, the hundreds that are bringing the light of Christ in the work place. In addition to being the director of Chi Alpha, he also served as the Idaho State Football chaplain, sharing Christ with NFL stars such as Jared Allen and Matt Gutierrez. One of Paul's passions in ministry is helping Chi Alpha strategically establish new chapters across the nation. From his experience and passion, Paul was asked to lead the National Pioneering Task Force focused on developing strategies and training for planting new ministries. Currently, Paul serves as the Chi Alpha Big Sky Area Director overseeing: Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Utah and Wyoming.
